Abstract
Bioetica e cinema. Racconti di malattia e dilemmi morali (Bioethics and cinema. Accounts of illnesses and moral dilemmas), by Paolo Cattorini (Franco Angelli, 2006), is one of the major treaties on the cinema as scenario for ethical reflection and without doubt the most comprehensive research written in Italian. The work is organized in two parts. The first is a study on bioethical narrative focusing on the articulation between bioethics and the cinema. The second part includes a brief but sharp analysis of more than sixty films and references to a further three hundred, among which there are some true gems. The following passages of the introduction, have been translated into Spanish, selected and commented by Natalia Perrotti.
Key words: Bioethics | Film | Narrative skills | Ethical Perspective
