Abstract
Blue Valentine is a love story, between two ordinary people, that shows pain in a relationship and how a partenaire can function as a symptom for the subject. The film works the impossibility for this couple to move forward together and, at the same time, separate one from each other.
From lacanian neologism hainamouration or passion in its double face: love and hate, it pretends to show as the director builds the story based on the misunderstanding and disagreement between sexes, but also on love and hate intertwined.
