Abstract
In the present paper I sketch the contours of the theory of political Act developed by Slavoj Žižek. In a first step I present the materialistic-ontological foundations on which the latter lies, then I demarcate the Act from other of its modalities and finally I analyze its conceptual components and detail the conditions that its fulfillment demands. Given that cinema represents a field that is more real that reality itself, I appeal to it in order to think the characteristics of the theory of political Act.
