Note by Gigliola Foco:
What does an end of analysis imply? In the book ¿Cómo terminan los análisis? Paradojas del pase (2022), Jacques-Alain Miller refers to this end, also called pass one, as a decisive moment as a structural exit of the analysis in which the subject, the effect of it, becomes an analyst.
Miller will locate the index of an authentic end of analysis in the fading of the subject’s supposed knowledge, the exit of the transferential relation and the “deser” that strikes the analyst, whose presence had sustained the analyst throughout the analytic process, putting the enunciation, effect of the analysis itself, in the focus.
The testimony of an AE (Analyst of the School), nomination granted by the Asociación Mundial de Psicoanálisis (AMP), which has a dimension of bet, is a fundamental instance in the teaching and transmission of psychoanalysis of the Lacanian orientation insofar as it is a demonstration in act of the one who can give testimony about the crucial problems in the living points in which he/she finds himself/herself for the analysis.
