Abstract
The resource of the mise en abyss in cinema can be read in harmony with the phenomenon of acting in the psychoanalytic clinic. The presence of a scene within another scene, when the second establishes a dialogue with the first, shedding new light on it, is a powerful clinical-methodological analogy. This paper presents a dozen scenarios in which this hypothesis is verified, analyzing the value of plays, paintings, musical segments or directly films within films.
